AURORS Aurors are considered the elite force of the DMLE. They operate as both soldier and intelligence agents, with training in various advanced areas of magic to help combat the darkest wizards in the country. They are expected to keep in very good mental and physical health throughout their career. All cases cross into Auror jurisdiction when Dark Magic is involved. Upon acceptance, training lasts three years. Auror trainees take several courses, including advanced duelling, hand-to-hand combat, concealment and disguise, stealth and tracking, resistance to interrogation, advanced work in potions and their antidotes, basic law and investigative training and a physical fitness regiment. Throughout this training, trainees are exposed to accompanied and limited field work. Trainees are assigned a senior auror as a mentor, who works with them through their training. The office holds a written and practical exam sessions in the middle of June and December. Only after passing these exams can a trainee be considered a full fledged auror. Partnerships: For both safety and efficiency, aurors almost always work in pairs. Pairs are assigned upon passing the exam, ensuring that partners have roughly the same level of experience and competency.
